Dream BIG!

{This is one of my FAVORITE poems of all times.  I heard this first in my high school days and it had SO much meaning in that setting.  But I still find it true for present times....I LOVE IT!!!}

If there were ever a time to dare,
to make a difference,
to embark on something worth doing,
it is now.
Not for any grand cause, necessarily—
but for something that tugs at your heart,
something that’s your aspiration,
something that’s your dream.

You owe it to yourself to make your days here count.
Have fun.
Dig deep.
Stretch.

DREAM BIG.
Know, though, that things worth doing seldom come easy.
There will be good days.
And there will be bad days.
There will be times when you want to turn around,
pack it up, and call it quits.
Those times tell you that you are pushing yourself,
that you are not afraid to learn by trying.

Persist.

Because with an idea,
determination, and the right tools,
you can do great things.
Let your instincts,
your intellect,
and your heart guide you.

Trust.

Believe in the incredible power of the human mind.
Of doing something that makes a difference.
Of working hard.
Of laughing and hoping.
Of lazy afternoons.
Of lasting friends.
Of all the things that will cross your path this year.

The start of something new brings the hope of something great.
Anything is possible.
There is only one you.
And you will pass this way only once.

Do it right.

{Kind of like a NIKE commercial huh??!!  SO inspiring though!}

A day in the life...

So...I've been wanted to do a "Real Life Post" for a long time now.  I chose today...just a normal everyday Tuesday...so here goes.

630am...I crawl out of bed.  I am NOT a morning person and usually hate the world in the mornings.  I think of every reason I can to stay in bed.  (the kids can have lunchables, I did not wash my hair the night before=less time to fix now, or I am NOT ironing clothes today)

I always start getting myself ready 1st and usually Keegan comes in pretty quickly.  I do LOVE this time.  His face is so sleepy and he is carrying his blue "Linus" blanket and will let me hold him and cuddle.  He wants breakfast usually after about 2 minutes.

645am...we are off to the kitchen....Binks (our monster cat) is meowing like crazy and SO LOUD.  (He usually has a bowl of some food, but thinks he wants fresh.
I get K 2 honey buns and some choc. milk (I know...1st class breakfast).  He sits at his spot and Max and Ruby is ALWAYS his choice for a show:))
650am...Josh joins and will cuddle for a bit, I at least get a hug, and then he wants cereal.  Right now he is on Captain Crunch.  The kids sit together and eat while I make lunches.
Today they had Spag 0's - so that took a little time on my part...heating them and putting them in thermos'.
After Bfast they play, watch a show, and then eventually get ready for school:)

Krys has usually made it up by now and is in the shower.

By 7am I am back in the bathroom finishing up and trying to book it out the door...lots of kisses and hugs and I'm off to school by 720ish. Krys gets J on the bus and K to Ashley.{Honestly...this is some cherished time for me...ALONE time:))}

Keegan goes to school every Tues/Thurs and stays with Ms. Ashley on the other days.
Josh and I, of course, go everyday.
My days in my classroom can be challenging.  It has definitely been a "learning" kind of year for me.
3:25pm can usually never make it here fast enough:)))

At that time J comes to my room and we stay till usually 415...just getting things ready for the next day.  J runs the school like he owns the place...I try not to let him be that obnoxios teacher's kid!
420...we are picking up Keegan and visiting for just a bit with our besties.
435...we pull in the drive.  (Keegan usually drives us home - in my lap)
K always wants to get the mail and I have to warn him everyday about being in the road.  Today however, I gave this job to Joshua...Keegan did not have a great day:(
438...we are in the house...and Keegan is off to time out for a lot of talking back.  Lots of crying and yelling.
440...J turns on a show and I start to clean up from the morning tornado. I always clean the laundry room because Binks has made a mess with his litter box.  I also get some laundry going and work in the kitchen.  Sometimes...I take a much needed computer break:))))

445pm...K is out of time out and watching a show with J ( I know...world class mom again, but I LOVE TV and my kids are NOT couch potatoes, and it gives me sanity!!)

On pretty days like yesterday, we go outside to play (trampoline or front yard on bikes), but today it was raining so we stayed in and watched the tube:)

I had supper going by 510ish (frito pie) and put dishes away while it was cooking.
We ate by 530.  K did not care for dinner, so he had a banana and was done.  J had 3 plates:)))
Bath is ALWAYS after dinner....they are usually a sticky, dirty, mess!

At bath (600ish) they usually fight about whose turn it will be to sit in the front ( I bathe them together for my convenience:) )
And once the water is drawn I will leave them unattended to usually switch laundry or lay out clothes for the next day.  This is always kind of risky....usually ends with water ALL over the bathroom floor and one upset mama.

620ish...I'll let them play while I clean up dishes, counter, and table (and the wet bathroom).
700...J goes to his room to read and do spelling homework (sometime with my help and sometimes on his own).
K will lay on the couch and watch, yet another Max and Ruby....{singing the song....}

Today Keegan was in bed asleep by about 730ish (I LOVE school days...he won't take a nap there, so he is always tired at bedtime here).
Krys was home just in time to put him to bed tonight...I know...home at 730 - and this was an EARLY night.
J finished homework and was in bed by 8.

I finished laundry and here I sit at 834 blogging:)))
(Krys did all the dishes tonight...he can be a good boy:))

So...
I know I will be curious about all this in my later life, or even a new stage in my life and I will be SO happy to look back.
I know one day my children will be grown and will be parenting their kiddos.
So this is our story...just for our records:)))

Brotherly lOvE:)

This was a scene I was SOO happy to catch last Saturday afternoon.  Not only did I catch these brothers playing TOGETHER...but...they were still playing nicely together after I RAN to get my camera!

These moments are VERY few and far between, so I will take them when I can:))

LOVE these boys!!!

5 more months...

I'm SOOO ready for days at the pool again.  Winter is my least favorite season.  I love about 3 days of it and then I'm done.  If it's too cold to go outside, then it's too cold for me:)

I try to enjoy the present...BUT...it's just COLD!

I will try though, to NOT wish my life away and enjoy being trapped inside with WiLd, LouD boys.
